The Opportunity
High Street, Sutton is a 0.64ha site located within the centre of the village of Sutton.
The existing buildings have been unoccupied for years and left unmaintained, allowing vegetation to overgrow the entire site and partially cover the buildings. They now have a negative impact on the street scene and overall landscape of the area.
Our initial objectives for this site are:

Our Vision
We are proud to present a scheme which will enhance the character of the High Street by varying the fenestration and materiality to create a dynamic elevational composition, offering a significant improvement over the existing buildings which have fallen into a state of disrepair. The addition of 9 quality homes and an ecological enhancement area is a positive way to regenerate the site to ensure its long term sustainability within the development envelope.
We wanted to take advantage of the panoramic view across the agriculturally rich fenlands, and so have designed the internal layout to ensure the living spaces were oriented around these views.
Progress
May 2020 – negotiations commenced with the current landowners and an option agreement was entered into to enable Dyason Developments to progress a planning application for redevelopment of the site.
March 2022 – initial planning application was lodged following extensive input from various consultants, with many varying ecology assessments being undertaken.
Feb 2024 – following a very frustrating and slow period whilst our application was being considered, a change of planning officer allocated to the project has seen a flurry of positive activity.
April 2024 – amended planning drawing submitted for final consideration – decision awaited shortly.
